Montfort Cottage Guest House in Windermere, The Lake District
Montfort Cottage Guest House was built in the latter part of the 19th century from lakeland stone and, although modernised, still retains much of its original charm and character.
The guest house is personally run by its owner, Leigh Giles, and is the perfect accommodation base to explore the Lake District, home of Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth.
Complimentary use of the leisure facilities at Parklands Country Club in Bowness is also included. Facilities offered free of charge include the use of the gym, swimming pool, steam bath and sauna. Don't forget to bring your swimming costume and a towel!
Montfort Cottage Guest House has gained an enviable reputation locally for its friendliness and excellent service which, accompanied by a hearty breakfast, have helped build a regular clientele.
Please note that we do not accept pets and all rooms are non-smoking for the comfort of every guest.
Montfort Cottage does not have facilities to accommodate children and so, therefore, is only able to cater for adults over the age of 18.
There are 4 double bedrooms in total. All have en-suite facilities except one, which has sole use of a private bathroom.
For that special occasion, honeymoon or romantic weekend, there are two rooms with four poster beds. All the rooms are tastefully decorated in a contemporary style and furnished with country pine furniture.
Each bedroom comes equipped with a hospitality tray, 22' LCD TV/DVD player, CD player, cuddly toy, hairdryer, alarm clock and iron & ironing board as standard.
Your choice of room can also be upgraded to our superior option which includes added extras such as a bowl of fresh fruit, additional towels (bath sheets) and bathrobes.
Bed and breakfast at Montfort Cottage costs between £27.50-£32.50pppn in a double room with a separate private bathroom; £30-£35pppn in a double en-suite room and £32.50-£37.50pppn in a 4 poster en-suite room.
Free upgrades to our superior option are included if you book to stay for 3 nights or more, along with a bottle of red or white wine!
